写真の薬品とフィルム！
Photo-chemicals and films!

アンナさんは着実にプロジェクトを進めています。地元の写真現像サービスが長くかかりすぎているので、アンナさんは自分でフィルムを現像することを決めました。
Anna is making steady progress for her project. Because it has been taking too long to get her films developed at local photo-lab, she decided to develop her films by herself.

写真のプロジェクトのための薬品などを買うために、山口市へ伺いました。大事な薬品が買えて、満足そうでした。これで、いろいろと進められます！
She visited Yagaguchi city to buy photochemicals for her photography projects. She got some important chemicals for her project and seemed content of getting them. Now she can make lots of progress!

また、大内塗りの小笠原さんの工房へも伺う機会がありました。小笠原さんは親切に、自身の作品や今までの体験などをお話しくださいました。
She also had chance to stop by Mr. Ogasawara, Ohuchi-nuri doll maker. Mr. Ogasawara kindly gave us a talk about his work and life-story.

アンナさんは大内塗り人形の製作過程や美しさ、また他の漆作品に印象深く魅了されているようでした。
Anna seemed really impressed and fascinated by the process and the aesthetics of the dolls and his other lacquer works.

大内塗りに関することが、日本語と英語で書かれた「ヨロボン」に集録されています。探して読んでみてください。
There is an article about "Ohuchi-nuri Dolls" included in "Yorobon" written in Japanese and English. Hope you have a chance to find and read it!

レヘマさんはどうも日本の寒い天候や生活習慣に慣れていないと言うことでした。ですが、他のアーティストとともにヨガをして、定期的に身体の調子を整えているようでした。
It seemed Rehema is still having difficult time to adjust herself to the cold weather and lifestyle in Japan. But she is regularly conditioning her health by exercising Yoga with other artists.

フィルムの現像と現像済みのフィルムの到着です！
Film developing and the developed films arrival!

午前中、アンナさんはフィルム現像用に薬品調合をはじめました。
In the morning, Anna started preparing chemicals to develop her films.

また、やっと美東町の写真屋さんに預けておいたアンナさんのフィルムが現像されて到着しました。アンナさんはとてもうれしいようでした。
And finally her films arrived at photo lab in Mitoh-cho! So, she was really happy about it.

午後には、道子さんが秋吉台科学博物館へ伺いました。
In the afternoon, Michiko made a short trip to Akiyoshidai Natural Science Museum.

道子さんは展示物を注意深く観察し、いくつかを記録されていました。どうやらアイデアの湧くような展示物や、オブジェ、テキストがあったようです。
She studied displays carefully and she spent sometime documenting some of them. It seemed there were some inspiring displays, objects and texts for her project.

道子さんのプロジェクトにとってとても良い収穫になったに違いないですね！
It must have been really a good gain for her project!

雪。。。雪。。。雪！！！
Snow… snow…SNOW!!!!

たくさん雪が降りました。。。たくさんの雪が秋吉台国際芸術村を覆いました。
Lots of snow… just lots of snow covered up AIAV…

ですが、アーティスト達はいろいろとやらなければ行けません。アンナさんとレヘマさんは美東町へ買い物の用事。
But artists needed to make some actions today! Anna and Rehema went down to Mitoh-cho for some errand.

ところで、ポスコンのスライド・ショウ（スライド賞）がもうすぐ出来上がります。授賞式に近づいたころには、こちらのブログに掲載されていると思います。もうしばらくお待ちください。
By the way, Poscon Slide-show will be up soon! Hopefully the slide show will up soon close to the announcement ceremony! Please be patient for a while...

夕方には、アンナさんとレヘマさんは西欧風の夕食を料理し、みんなでその味を楽しみました。夕食後は、映画！日本語のテレビ番組を見ていられないので、持参した映画などを見るのが日常になって来ているようです。
In the evening, Anna and Rehema prepared nice western dinner and we all enjoyed the taste!
After the dinner, Anna and Rehema did a movie night!!! It seems the movie night is becoming their routine, since they can’t stand watching Japanese TV program for long hours.

また、秋吉台が雪に覆われる寒い日となりました。このごろの数日間は、日本全体が大雪に見舞われているようです。ですが、こちらでは、時折、太陽が雪山を美しく輝かせる光景がありました。
It was another cold day with pile of snow over Akiyoshidai.
It seems entire Japan is having heavy snow for those a few days.
But here we occasionally had sun lighting up beautiful snow mountains!

夕方から、明朝の骨董市へ行くために、山口市内へ行きました。
From the evening… Artists went down to Yamaguchi city to get ready to go to antique flea market next morning!

とは言いつつ、アンナさんとレヘマさんは初めての温泉体験をしようと決めました。
However, Anna and Rehema decided to try their first hot spring experiece!

アンナさんは温泉にとても興味を持っていて、あまりためらっていないようでした。
It seemed Anna was very curious about the hot spring and she didn’t show much of her hesitance.

しかし、レヘマさんは温泉を体験するのをとてもためらっていたようでした。
However, it seemed Rehema had lots of hesitance to experience the hot spring.

文化体験です。「郷に入れば、郷に従え」ということですね。
It’s cultural experience! There is a saying, “Once you are in different culture, follow the way as the local people do!”

最終的には、二人とも他のお客さん達とも会話ができ、とても楽しめたようでした。異文化を知る一番いい方法ですね。
At the end, they really did enjoyed the hot spring with some chat with local people!!! It's the best way to understand other culture!

そして、こんばんはおいしい食事を飲み物をいただきました...でも寒い夜でした。
Then, they had good food and good drink… but it was a cold night…

いろいろとイベントのあった良い日となりました。
It was a good day with some events!

アーティストの皆さんは亀山公園の骨董市へ行ってきました。みなさん出展品の品揃えにとてもいい印象を受けたようでした。また、屋台も出ていて、いろいろと食事も楽しむことができました。
All the artists visited antique flea market at Kameyama Park! They really got impressed by the great selections of items! There were also some venders selling food and snacks and we enjoyed having some of them!

アンナさんは彼女のプロジェクトにとって、おもしろくインスピレーションを受けるものをたくさん見つけ、この発見にとても喜んでいました。
Anna found lots of interesting and inspiring items for her projects and she looked really happy with the descoveries!!!

レヘマさんも、興味をそそる日本の美術品や工芸品を見つけました。いい品物に出くわしましたが、今回は買うか買わないかと言うことを決められないでいたようです。
Rehema also found some intriguing Japanese arts and crafts. She looked happy finding them but she couldn’t make her mind if she really should buy any at this time.

道子さんも骨董市を見て回り、彼女も陳列されている商品にとてもいい印象を受けたようです。
Michiko also looked through the antique market and she was also impressed by the displayed items!!!

ですが、寒い日だったので、レヘマさんは自分で秋吉台国際芸術村へ帰りました。自分での初めてのバス帰省となりました。
But it was a cold day and Rehema decided to go back to AIAV by herself. She took her first bus ride by herself.

アンナさんと道子さんは地元の温泉に歩いていき、温泉を楽しみました！身体の疲れを癒し、温まったようです。
Anna and Michiko walked down to local hot spring and they enjoyed it! Both of them cured and warmed up their body!!!

その後、アンナさんは山口市民会館で行われていた山口県立大学の卒業生よる展示会を訪れました。
After that, Anna visited Yamaguchi Civic Hall at an exhibition by graduating students from Yamaguchi Prefectural University.

たくさんのおもしろく印象に残る作品がありました。
There are many interesting and impressive works.

そのうちの数点は、アンナさんにスカンジナビアのデザインを思い起こさせるもので、彼女は疑問に思われていたようでした...　その答えは参加している学生の一人がくださいました。
Some of them reminded Anna of Scandinavian design and she was wondering why they looked similar… the answer was given by one of participating students.

彼女は、山口県立大学とフィンランドの大学間にある芸術文化交流プログラムのことを話してくださいました。
She mentioned arts and cultural exchange program between Yamaguchi Prefectural University and University in Finland.

それから、井生先生にもお会いする機会を得て、簡単な会話をすることができました。日本とスカンジナビアの国々との関係性や影響などを少しお話しくださいました。
Then, we had a chance to chat with Prof. Io. He kindly talked little bit about some connection and influences relating with designs between Japan and Scandinavian countries.

アンナさんと道子さんは山口市内を探索し、コーヒーやランチを一緒に楽しんだようでした。
Anna and Michiko continued exploring Yamaguchi city and enjoyed a coffee and lunch together!

実りのあるすばらしい一日となりました！
It was a fruitful day for them!!!

アンナさんにとっては、中野先生のクラスへ課した『パラフレーズ』に関する課題の講評をする日となりました。
It was a day for Anna to visit Prof. Nakano’s class to conduct review on his students’ assignments about “Paraphrases.”

学生の皆さんは、アンナさんの課題にしっかりと対応し、おもしろい作品を持って来てくれました。それぞれの学生が、各々の作品をアンナさんとクラスのみんなへ紹介してくださいました。おもしろく印象深い作品ばかりでした。学生の皆さんは、元となるオリジナルの作品とパラフレーズをした作品の両方ともを見せてくださいました。
All his students responded to her assignments and brought interesting works. Each student presented them to Anna and the class! They are all very interesting and impressive. All of them showed “original work” and “paraphrased work.”

学生の皆さんは、アイデア、制作過程、インスピレーションなどについて話し、アンナさんはそれぞれの学生に思慮深くフィードバックを行いました。
They all talked about the ideas, processes and inspirations and Anna considerately gave feedbacks to each students. All the students also gave feedbacks to each other.

このクラスの後は、中野教授は学生達が作った他の作品についての講評を行い、アンナさんも参加し、コメントをしました。
After this session, Prof. Nakano continued a critique session on other works and Anna also joined and gave them comments on them.

それぞれの学生が、異なったトピックに取り組み、おもしろくユニークなプロジェクトを制作していました。
All of them worked on various topics and created interesting and unique art projects.

でも、また少し寒い日でした...
But it was also a bit cold day…

Mr. Suenaga arrived at AIAV this afternoon!
末長さんが到着されました。

Michiko had a chance to visit a local elementary school for her research and project.
道子さんも、プロジェクトのリサーチのために地元の小学校による機会を得たようです。

Rehema and Anna also had a chance to talk about her ideas with Junko this afternoon!
レヘマさんもアンナさんもプロジェクトのアイデアに関して、いろいろと純子さんと打ち合わせをしました。

Everyone is proceeding their project steadily toward the open studio this Saturday!
みなさん、今週土曜日のオープン・スタジオへ向けてうまくプロジェクトを進めているようです。

今日は、また雪が降りました。
It snowed today again…

アーティストの皆さんは、オープン・スタジオに向けて着実に準備を進めています。プログラム担当の塚田さんと話し合いをし、良い方向へ向かっているようです。
All the artists are making steady progress to be ready for open studio. All three artists had some talks with Junko and they are on the right track.

末永さんも昨日着いたばかりですが、たくさん進歩を続けています。会場が、美術作品を伴いつつ変貌をしているところです。
Mr. Suenaga also made lots of progress, even though he just arrived last night.
The space is now in the process of transformation…with his art works!

末永さんの展示の準備、オープン・スタジオのための準備、そして、ポスコン?!７のための準備!!!
Preparation for Mr. Suenaga’s exhibition, preparation for open studio and preparation for Poscon?!7 !!!

明日、開催されるイベントのための準備に皆さん忙しく取り組まれたようです。秋吉台国際芸術村のスタッフ、レジデンス・アーティストそして招待アーティストの末永さんとみなさんそれぞれのプロジェクトと任務に励みました。
Everyone was quite busy working on preparations for many things happening tomorrow!
AIAV’s staff, Residence artist and invited artist worked hard on their own projects and tasks.

明日の末永さんの展示、オープン・スタジオそしてポスコン?!７の授賞式に皆さんとても胸を躍らせています。ぜひ、明日のイベントを楽しみに来てください!!!

秋吉台国際芸術村のコンサートホールは、鍾乳洞を模したというその特殊な造りから死角が多く、また、斜めに突き出した壁に音が反射するため座る場所によって聞こえる音が異なるという音楽家泣かせの、あるいは、実験意欲を掻き立てるホールです。

芸術村は、本館棟、宿泊棟ともに、全体的に迷路の様で、一度歩いただけでは、自分がどこにいるのか分かりません。そして、ホールの構造もまた、一体どうやったら3階席に辿り着けるのか、簡単には分からない仕組みになっています。

ペインターの末永史尚さんに、ギャラリーではなく、あえてこのホールで展示を、というオファーをしたのは、夏に伺った展覧会で、ペインティングを床に置いて立体的な展示をしている写真を見せてもらったからです。
しかし、お恥ずかしいことに、末永さんが展示を始めるまで私は、ホールでの展示といっても、自分が見た写真の展示以外の方法を想像することができていませんでした。

末永さんは、下見に来たのが12月で、それから設計図のコピーをもとに模型を作ってシュミレーションされたようですが、今回の設営で到着されたのはつい4日前のことです。

限られた設営時間にも関わらず彼は、もうホールを知り尽くしていたと言いますか、死角の多い構造をうまく利用して、空間を次々と変化させ、彩って行きました。秘境の様なこの場所に、新しい風を吹き込んだように感じます。

さてさて、展示で驚いて頂きたいので種明かしはできませんが、ぜひ、たくさんの人に見てもらいたいです！
ホールを知っている方には新しい発見を、初めての方には芸術村という場所も含めて驚きを体験してもらいたいと思います。

末永史尚展「かげり」は、明日・2月11日（土）10時から17時まで。週末の二日間限りの展示です。ぜひこの機会に秋吉台に遊びに来てください！

レジデンス・アーティストたちのオープンスタジオのガイドツアーは、同日14時から。本館棟1Fカフェ集合です。
アーティストたちの郷土のお菓子も、食べれるかも！？

末永さんの展示がホールであり、ポスコン!?7の授賞式がギャラリー・スペースで、またオープン・スタジオがそれぞれのレジデンス・アーティストのスタジオでありました。
AIAV hosted Fuminao Suenaga's exhibition at a hall, Poscon!?7 award ceremony at gallery space and open studio for residence artists.

午前中、末永さんはリラックスした表情を見せていましたが、同時にオープニングに向けて自信のある表情もお見せになっていました。
Mr. Suenaga showed relaxed face in the morning and at the same time he showed his confidence on his face towards the opening!!!

末永さんのもとをいろいろな街や県の方々が訪れてくださいました。
He had wonderful visitors from different cities and prefectures.

末永さんの大きなサポーターである本郷さん（写真右）は、東京からはるばる秋吉台国際芸術村を訪れてくださいました。末永さんによる作品の選び方、作品の質、そしてスペースの創造的な利用の仕方にとても好印象を受けていらっしゃいました。
Ms.Hongo (at right in the picture), who is a big supporter of Mr. suegnaga, took a trip up to AIAV all the way from Tokyo. She was very impressed by the selections and quality of his work and creative use of the space by Mr. Suenaga.

津田さんも本郷さんと少し会話をする機会があり、お二人とも気づかれたようですが、以前にお二人ともお会いしたことがあったようでした。
Michiko also had nice chat with Ms.Hongo and they realized that they already knew each other before.

ポスコン!?7授賞式がとても好評でした。たくさんの受賞者の方々に出席して頂き、こちらの方もとてもうれしく思います。ご家族やお友達の方々もご出席くださり、受賞者の方々の成果をお祝いくださいました。ポスコン!?7に参加くださり、また授賞式に参加してくださった方々、ありがとうございました。
Award ceremony for Poscon!?7 went well and we were very happy to welcome lots of award's recipients for the ceremony. Families and friends also showed up to celebrate their accomplishments!!! Thank you for your participations to Poscon!?7 and your visits to the ceremony!!!

末長さんの展示会にもたくさんの方々が来てくださいました。また、古くからの友人、ご家族そして、親戚の方々もご来館くださったようです。末永さんもいろいろな会話を楽しむことが出来たようでした。
Mr. Suenaga's exhibition also received a lot of attendance! It seems he also had some of his old friends, family and relatives. He must have enjoyed having conversations with all those good people!

オープン・スタジオも好評でした。たくさんの人たちがそれぞれのスタジオを見て回ることが出来、アーティスト達のアイデアや文化的視線に接することができました。来館者の方々はそれぞれのアーティストのプロジェクトの進み具合、リサーチ用の参照資料、またそれぞれの文化について興味深く接していました。
Open studio went well!!! Lots of people visited each artist's studio and engaged in the residence artists' ideas and cultural perspectives. It seemed all the visitors were very curious about their progress and research materials, as well as their culture.

山口大学の田中教授もスタジオを訪れてくださり、プロジェクトの進展に接してくださいました。
Prof. Tanaka from Yamaguchi University also visited AIAV to look through artists' studios and engaged in the development of their projects.

全てのイベントがうまく行きました。夕方には、アーティスト、来館者の方々、そしてスタッフが一緒になり、すばらしい夕食とともに、リラックスした時間を過ごすことが出来ました。おいしい夕食とすばらしい時間をご一緒くださいましてありがとうございました！
All the events went pretty well. In the evening, artists, visitors and staff got together to have relaxing time with amazing dinner!!! Thank you for the delicious dinner and sharing amazing time with us!!!

末永さんの展示会２日目！
The second day of the Mr. Suenaga’s exhibition!

テレビ局の方がお越し下さいまして、秋吉台国際芸術村の現在のプログラム、展示会、レジデンスプログラムに関する取材をしてくださいました。同時にカメラマンの大田さんも記録用の撮影に来てくださいました。
AIAV had TV crews and they did a video documentation about AIAV’s current programs, the exhibition, the residence program and etc… At the same time, Mr. Ohta visited us for photo-documentation.

末永さんの展示は、今日もたくさんの人たちを魅了したようです！
Mr. Suenaga’s exhibition attracted many people today, as well!

この日は、末永さんのお父さんやご兄弟の方々のご協力を得て、短い時間の中、展示会の撤収作業で一日が終わりました。多大なご協力ありがとうございました。
The day ended by deinstallation in limited time with cooperation by Mr. Suenaga’s dad and brothers!!! Thank you for huge help!!!

レジデンスのアーティスト達は、プロジェクト用の材料を求めて、山口市内へ出かけました。
The residence artists made a short trip down to Yamaguchi city to collect materials for their projects!

古着屋さん、服屋さん、画材屋さん、電化製品店など...数時間の間に探していた物や情報を得ることが出来ました。またプロジェクトに進歩が出来ました。
Second-hand shop, designer’s boutique, art supply store and electronic store… in a few hours, artists found items and information that they were searching for. They made another progress on their projects!

降雪のある静かな１日になりました。室内に留まり、プロジェクトに集中し、１９日に予定されている山焼きのことを気にかけつつ...　
It was another quiet day with snowfalls.
Staying inside… focusing on projects… concerning about Mountain burning on 19th…

山焼きが実施されるのか、延期されるのか...　どうなるんでしょうか？We were wondering if Mountain burning will take place or will be postponed…

昨夜から、午前中にかけて雪が続きました。
Snowfalls continued to the morning from last night.

芸術村の後ろにある山は、雪化粧をしました。
The mountain behind AIAV looked snow-powdered.

レヘマさんにとってプロジェクトの写真撮影の機会となり、とてもすばらしく胸の踊る１日となりました。
It was a nice and exciting day for Rehema, since she got a chance to do photo-shooting.

ライティング、背景の垂れ幕がセットされ、アンナさんがライティングに関してのアドバイスをしたり、レヘマさんの撮影の手助けをしたりと、協力しながら撮影が進んでいったようでした。ただ、カメラやライトのセッティングなどに関しては、いろいろと試していく必要があるようでした。
Lighting and back-drop were set and Anna gave some advices for lighting and cooperatively helped documenting Rehema’s project. But it seemed that Rehema needed to decide many details about camera and lighting settings and to test them for best shooting results.

レヘマさんが望むような仕上がりになると良いですね。
Hope the project turns out as she was imagining in her mind.

今日は、萩へ小旅行に行きました。
Today, we made a short trip down to Hagi!

シーマートでおいしい魚介類を昼食にいただきました。
We had delicious seafood at sea market for lunch.

お亀さんの乗っている縁起物の熊手をレジの上に見つけました。日本では幸運を呼び込むと信じられる縁起物です。幸運が来ることを望みましょう！
We found Okame-san on decorated rake, Kumade, above the casher.
The decorated rake has been believed to bring lucks in Japanese culture!!!
Hoping it brings luck!!!

昼食のあとは、椿はな祭りへ行きました。日本海岸線のとなりで、美しい景色でした。
After lunch, we visited Camellia flower festival.
The area was next to Japan seacoast line. It was beautiful landscape.

木の上に咲いているもの、地上に落ちた花々。
There were some blossoms on trees and fallen flowers on the ground.

お祭りには、出店もいくつかありました。レヘマさんとアンナさんは注意深く盆栽を観察し、盆栽に関する説明も少しの間、聞きました。
There were some venders at the festival. Rehema and Anna carefully examined Bonsai and briefly listened to explanations about bonsai.

セルフポートレイトのためにカメラの前でポーズをとっている男性がいました。何らかのプロジェクトをやってるに違いないですね。
There was a gentle man posing in front of his camera for his self-portrait.
He must have been doing his project…

大屋窯へも伺いました。アンナさん、レヘマさん、純子さんはお気に入りの陶器を見つけました。
We also visited Ohya gama, Ohya ceramic studio.
Anna, Rehema and Junko found their favorite ceramic works.

アンナさんとレヘマさんにとっては、初の日本陶器コレクションを購入することになったみたいです。
For Anna and Rehema, those ceramic works became their first Japanese ceramic collections!!!

展示会のためのミーティングがあり、うまく行ったようです。作品、備品、場所、準備計画などと担当の塚田さんと話し合いをしました。なんだかわくわくしますね！
There was a meeting about exhibition and it seemed it went pretty well.
All the artists talked to Junko about their work, equipment, locations and planning etc…
Things are becoming exciting now!!!

レヘマさんの写真撮影が、アンナさんの手助けのもと、とてもうまくいったようでした。
アンナさんはレヘマさんの写真撮影のために時間を費やしてくださいました。
It seemed that Rehema’s shooting went very well with great help from Anna.
Anna spent some time with Rehema for Rehema’s photoshooting.

津田さんは、プロジェクトのためのプロジェクションのテストに時間をかけていたようでした。
Michiko also spent some time on testing projection for her project.

アンナさんは展示に向けてのスケジュールや準備の割り振りなどに時間をかけました。
また、展示用のための写真の選出を注意深く吟味されたようでした。
数日前に、アンナさんは１５時間ほど暗室で作業をされていたようでした。
暗闇の中へ吸い込まれないといいんですがね...
Anna spent some time on arranging schedules and preparations towards exhibition.
She also carefully examined selections of her photographs for her exhibition.
I heard she spent about 15 hours in dark room a few days ago… Hoping she doesn't get swallowed into the darkness…

制作中...一生懸命制作中... プロジェクトに没頭中...
Work in progress… hard working… focusing on projects…

津田さんは模型の撮影に取り組みました。撮影がどういう形に出来上がるのか楽しみです。
Michiko worked on shooting miniature model…
We are anticipating how the documentation will come out!!!

レヘマさんも写真プロジェクトのプリントをする準備が整いました！
Rehema is also ready to print her photo project!!!

アンナさんは、見つけた写真や、プリントした写真の吟味に没頭しました。
Anna stayed examining her photographs... thinking and careful examination on her found photographs and her printed images.

芸術村のスタッフも美祢市役所へ行き、約5000世帯分の告知ちらしを配布してきました！
AIAV staff went to Mine city hall to distribute Exhibition fliers to about 5000 households in Mine city.

多くの方に来て頂き、展示会を一緒にお祝いし楽しんで頂けるとうれしいです！
Hope lots of people come to celebrate and have great exhibition!!!

いろいろなことが同時に起こっております...特に展示準備や作品制作に関して。
Many things are happening at same time… especially curatorial preparations and studio work for exhibition!!!

芸術村スタッフの持田さんのお薦めがあり、アンナさんはプロジェクトのために花やアドバイスを伺いに小郡にある花屋さんを訪ねました。
With a recommendation by Ms. Mochida (a staff at AIAV), Anna visited a flower shop in Ogohri to get some flowers and advices for her project!

フラワー・アレンジメントの先生である中川先生がアンナさんにフラワー・アレンジメントに関する簡単なアドバイスを下さいました。
Ms. Nakagawa, an instructor at the flower shop, gave some tips about flower arrangement to Anna.

受講者の方々や、中川先生、そして、アンナさんは、スウェーデン語、日本語そして英語でちょっとしたおしゃべりをすることが出来ました。
Course-takers, Ms. Nakagawa and Anna had small chatting with each other in Swedish, Japanese and English!!!

アンナさんは、展示用の準備について話すために、展示準備をしてくださる事務所を訪れました。
Anna also visited exhibition installing company to talk about preparation for exhibition.

アンナさん、塚田さん、そして、この事務所の多久和さんともども成果のあるミーティングが出来ました。
Anna, Junko and Mr.Takuwa from the company had productive meeting about it.

みなさんちょっと安心した感じです。
So, all of us are relieved for now!!!

近頃は、３人全員とも忙しそうで、じっくりと制作が進歩していっています！！！
All three artists look really busy and are making steady progress for all these days!!!

日本舞踏ダンスのリハーサルを見に瑠璃光寺を訪れました。
Visiting Japanese dance rehearsal at Ruri kohji.

アーティスト達はみんな、キャンドル・ライトに照らされた日本舞踏を見に瑠璃光寺へ行きました。ダンサー達は、振り付けや音楽に合わせ、演技の練習をしていました。日本の伝統的な美観を伴った新し独特に進化したスタイルの演技だったようです。また、日本の伝統建築の中でされた独特の表現でした。
All artists had a chance to visit Ruri kohji to see Japanese dance rehearsal lit up by candles.
The dancers practiced their performance according to choreography and sounds.
It seemed that the performance was a kind of new and alternative style with traditional aesthetics in it.
It showed very unique expressions in traditional building.

レヘマさんの誕生日でした！
It was Rehema’s birthday!!!

レヘマさんはようやくチャンスを見つけて秋芳洞を訪ねることが出来、自然に作られた時間感覚を超越した空間を体験されていました。
Rehema finally found a chance to visit Shuhoh doh (a famous cave in the area) and experienced naturally formed timeless space.

アンナさんも洞窟へ行く際は同行し、昼食を一緒に食べました。
Anna accompanied her on way up to the cave and had lunch together.

夕方には、レヘマさんが長いこと食べたがっていたお好み焼き食べに秋芳町へ行きました。
In the evening, we all went to Shuhoh cho to have Okonomiyaki, the one Rehema really wanted to try for long time.

もちろん、レヘマさんのために、特別にひな祭りの人形を載せた誕生日ケーキも用意しました！私たちもケーキの選択やデコレーションがレヘマさんにとても気に入ってもらえて、とてもうれしく思います。
Of course, a birthday cake was served for her with specially decorated Hinamatsuri figures on it!!!
We were really happy that she really liked the choice of the cake and the decoration!!!

レヘマさんに展示の成功と実のなる新たな一年を願っています!!!
Wishing her great success on the exhibition and another fulfilling year for Rehema!!!

山口大学付属中学校を訪問しました。
Visiting Yamaguchi Jr. High school

アンナさんは山口市内にある山口大学付属中学校を訪れ、１年生の皆さんにプレゼンテーションをお見せしました。
Anna visited Yamaguchi Jr. High School in Yamaguchi city and gave her presentation to 1st grade students.

プレゼンテーションの前には、このプレゼンテーションを協力的にコーディネートしてくださった宮園先生にお会いしました。
Before the presentation, we met Mr. Miyazono, who cooperatively coordinated this presentation.

１５０人もの大きなグループでした。彼らが教室へ入って来た際は、全ての生徒が椅子を持って来て、列を作り、円滑に席に座りました。
It was 150 students, a large group of audience. When they entered to the room, all students brought chairs and formed rows and smoothly sat.

みんな行儀よく、アンナさんのプレゼンテーションを注意深く聞いてくれました。
They are all well disciplined and carefully listened to Anna’s presentation.

質問をしてくださいと問われた時、みんなで小さなグループとなり議論をしました。その議論の際は、とても騒がしくなりましたが、質問をするようにとあてられると、他の生徒達は静かにし、その生徒がはっきりと話せるようにしてくれました。
When they were asked to give her questions, they discussed with each other as small groups. They are quite loud during discussion but when they are appointed to give questions, all other students stayed quiet for him or her to talk clearly.

生徒達はとても規律正しい生徒達でした。
They were very disciplined!!!

プレゼンテーションの後には、宮園先生が生徒、教育、美術の役割などを語ってくださいました。
After the presentation, Mr. Miyazono talked about the students, education, role of visual arts and so on.

招待してくださいましてありがとうございました。
Thank you for inviting us!

アンナさんも学生からすばらしいエネルギーを得ることが出来ました！
Anna received great energy from students!!!

山口大学付属中学校を後にして、山口現代藝術研究所の現在の展示や瑠璃光寺の五重塔を見るために立ち寄りました。
Leaving Yamaguchi Jr.High School, we made a quick stop at YICA to see the current exhibition and a pagoda at Ruri kohji.

レヘマさんと津田さんも山口市を訪れました。
Rehema and Michiko also went down to Yamaguchi city.

レヘマさんは印刷会社に問い合わせや注文のチェックをするために、津田さんはプロジェクトのための木製の構造を作る準備のためにホーム・センターを訪れました。
Rehema checked with printing company and Michiko visited hardware store to prepare wooden structure for her project.

少し寒かったですが、初春の到来を思わせる太陽の輝くすばらしい一日でした。
It was a nice sunny day, though it was still bit cold, that made us become aware of the arrival of early Spring!
