NAMAIKI

A creative unit between David Duval-Smith, a graphic designer from New Zealand, and Michael Frank, an architect from England started the activities in ‘97. Based on “SUPER DELUXE” in Azabu-Juban, their activities range from mainly graphic works in hard gospel music, carpentry, and gardening with their unique playful style. Recently, to seek a design system for permanent and durable environment for human beings, they have developed the project in various places from internationally-respected museum, such as Nam June Paik Art Center in Korea, personal residences in down town Tokyo, to a village of Southeast Asia with to learn and concern with local people. They will develop the project with a theme of “farming” in the Biennale of Sydney 2010.
