AIAV Artist in Residence Support Program trans_2009-2010 resident artists are announced! January 10 to March 20, 2010

■70 days at AIAV
Akiyoshidai International Art Village has supported cultural and philosophical exchange among international artists through the artists in residence program, which has been run every year since its inauguration in 1998.
We received 288 applications from 48 countries this year and three artists/group were selected to participate in the trans_2009-2010 artist in residence program. The selected artists will stay for 70 days at AIAV, Yamaguchi, where they will encounter different environment, culture, life and people. Their fresh encounters will be transformed into new creative artworks. There will be workshops, lectures and other events and also an exhibition of the artworks that they produce at AIAV at the end of their residency.
Please check our website and blog for updates and details of the events.
