ラストを飾るVol.13では、現代美術家のイチハラヒロコ氏を迎え、レストランとカフェ・スペースでの作品展示と、アーティストが作品について語るカフェ・トークを行います。
イチハラヒロコ氏は、「愛と笑い」をテーマに、言葉による文字の作品を制作しています。無彩色のゴシック体で、美術館やギャラリーの壁はもちろん工事現場の囲い塀、駐車場からスケートリンク、またショッピング用の紙袋から牛乳瓶等々、日常空間へ見事に介入し、人々の目と心を惹きつける作品は、国内外で多くのファンを獲得しています。
芸術村では、テーマ作品の「君さえいれば、この世はヘブン。」を筆頭に、14m強もあるレストランのガラス面と、本館１Ｆカフェの丸テーブルに、数々の作品を設置します。ランチやカフェでくつろぎながら、くすっと笑ったり共感したり、ゆっくりとお楽しみいただきたい展覧会です。

プロフィール
イチハラヒロコ
1963年京都生まれ、在住。京都芸術短期大学ヴィジュアルデザインコース専攻科修了。85年より作品を発表。91年の個展「この人ゴミをかきわけて、はやく来やがれ、王子さま。」(HBギャラリー/東京)以来、誰にでも思い当たる人や場所・状況にそう当意即妙な、日常感覚とユーモアに満ちた言葉による文字だけの作品を制作している。「私のことは、彼にきいて。」(94年/水戸芸術館)をはじめ国内でのギャラリー、美術館、アート・プロジェクト等多数。近年、京都国立近代美術館にて親子で楽しめる現代美術空間を提案する「プレイルーム」を、夫でアーティストの箭内新一氏とのコラボレーションプロジェクトとして行っている。

Hiroko Ichihara
Born in 1964 in Kyoto, graduated from Kyoto College of Art, Visual Design Course, Hiroko Ichihara started her career in 1985. Since her solo exhibition, “Push your way through this crowd. Hurry up and come to me, Mr. Right!” (HB Gallery/Tokyo) in ’91, She creates text art works that elicit common situation, place and person with her sense of everyday life and humor. Her works are widely shown in galleries, museums, and art projects, such as “Ask Him about Me” (1994/ Contemporary Art Center, Art Tower Mito). Recently, she is working on “Play Room”, a collaborative project with Yanai Shinichi, an artist and her husband, which offers contemporary art space for parents and children in The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto.
