Art-Room EAR Lab ~ A Discovery of New Asian Sound and Instruments~ Workshop & Concert Sat 12 March 2011 13:00~16:00

What are the traditional Asian instruments and how do they sound like?
It is very rare to hear Asian instuments been played as most of the modern music nowadays are composed and played with Western instruments.
On this program, we are introducing some of the traditional Asian instruments from Okinawa, India and Vietnam. Participants are encouranged not only to see the instruments, but actually to play them at the workshop. By playing a range of traditional Asian instruments, we hope participants to discover a new sound of Asia.

A multi-instrumentalist, Wataru Kousaka's gifted flexibility of combining Asian instruments using the electronic devices, you will experience a new Asian soundscape at AIAV!
